The Moment is Now
Applying for a Creator Award only takes a few minutes, what do you have to lose? We’ll walk you through the process and give you some pointers below.
Our categories are designed to reward innovation in every industry. To apply, pick the category that fits where your idea or business is today.
You’re a musical group, dance troupe, slam poet, aerial silk artist, or other live performer, and you’re interested in sharing your art with our audience. Finalists from this category will secure a paid gig at their regional event.
You’re a registered NGO, charity, or nonprofit organization looking to establish or expand your efforts. Semi-finalists will pitch their idea to a panel of judges; finalists will pitch live on stage at their regional event for the chance to take home funding.
You’re a startup, entrepreneur, or established enterprise with a plan to take things further. Semi-finalists will pitch their idea to a panel of judges; finalists will pitch live on stage at their regional event for the chance to take home funding.
Creator Awards prizes vary depending on what type of company you are. Certified nonprofits and performance artists will receive cash prizes, while entrepreneurs, startups, and other for-profit companies will receive a Simple Agreement for Future Equity structure Investment. THE APPLICATION PROCESS
Here’s what to expect:
First things first: You don’t have to be a WeWork member to apply. This competition is open to entrepreneurs, performers, startups, and nonprofits from our designated regions (more on those, below!).
Be prepared to answer a series of brief questions about your idea, business, or organization.
Next up: Shoot a brief, 90-second video introducing yourself, telling us what you do, why you’re passionate about it, and how you would use funding if you win. Professional-quality video not required.
It goes without saying (but we’ll say it anyway): Be sure to get your application in before the deadline. Once you submit, you’ll receive a confirmation email for your records. As an added bonus, all applicants will be eligible for a free one-year We Membership.
For our second year, we’re hosting awards ceremonies in multiple regions around the world. Find out where you’re eligible to apply below. Stay tuned for more details on 2018 regions!
